Logo updated and redesigned for a heavy metal band in the USA. A member of the band contacted me to give a fresh new look to their logo from the ’80s, but wanted to still keep a ‘heavy, Gothic’ feel, so I chose a new font face which I felt lent itself well to the spirit of the group, and added a version of a Celtic cross to replace the ‘o’. I also added the vertical line behind the cross to add a bit more unity with the outer box contour and balance the large ‘Z’. I created a positive and a negative of the logo as well for use in different graphic situations. I also created a red version, seen below: The band printed two different shirts with the new logo to sell at their concerts   |
