 This neo-classical triumphal Arch of Peace (Arco della Pace) was designed by Luigi Cagnola to honor Napoleon’s entry into Milan, but was only completed in 1838. Made of granite brought from the Lake Maggiore area, it is of Corinthian order. The arch is surmounted by a bronze coach-and-six, with Peace holding its reins. Milan, Italy |
